You can find Amber teaching students ages 4-18 in Hamilton Ontario where she resides, with the Laurier String Academy in Waterloo, and the Suzuki String School in Guelph.  Amber provides a solid technical foundation for her students within a playful approach, and works closely with parents and students to foster an enriching musical practice.  A licensed Andover Educator, Amber uses the technique of Body Mapping to teach clear anatomical information in a way that is accessible and engaging for students of all ages in order to reduce limitations and physical discomfort at the instrument.  Her students enjoy getting to know ‘Fred’, the studio skeleton.  In addition to being a fully trained Suzuki Instructor, Amber also incorporates improvisation, world music, and works with composers to develop new works for the developing cellist. Her students have performed at the SAA Conference in Minneapolis, at major halls on tour in China, as part of the Kitchener Waterloo and Halton-Mississauga Youth Orchestras, and as part of the Kiwanis music festival locally and at the provincial level.  In the summer Amber enjoys teaching at various Institutes including those in Valhalla BC, Edmonton AB, and Waterloo ON.
